What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM, and we kindly ask that you arrive around 3:30 PM to allow time to park, find your seat, and settle in. We will not be delaying the start of the ceremony, so please plan accordingly. Thank you for understanding!

What is the Dress Code?

Dress to celebrate! Suits and cocktail dresses are perfect. When you can, we’d love for ladies to choose colors other than blue or black—but if that’s what you feel best in, by all means, feel free to wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and comfortable.

Will the ceremony and reception be at the same location?

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same venue.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, there is parking available on site.

Are there hotels nearby? Do you have a room block reserved?

While we are not offering on-site accommodations, there are several lovely places to stay near the wedding venue in Wakefield and the surrounding area. Here are a few options to consider:

 

Moulin Wakefield Mill Hotel & Spa – A beautiful riverside historic inn with a full-service spa, restaurant, and modern amenities.

 

Les Trois Érables Boutique Inn – A charming, adult-only boutique inn in the heart of Wakefield village.

 

La Grange Country Inn – A peaceful bed and breakfast just outside Wakefield, perfect for a relaxing countryside stay.

Le Bellevue Modern Lodge – A contemporary lodge with stunning views, ideal for guests who love modern comforts and nature.

Auberge de Mon Petit Chum B&B – A cozy, family-friendly bed and breakfast with excellent reviews.

 

If you prefer a wider range of hotels, it’s also just a short drive or taxi ride to Gatineau or Ottawa, where you’ll find many additional accommodation options. We recommend booking early, as places in the area can fill up quickly during wedding season.

Is there Taxi service back to Ottawa?

Yes! If you want to stay an Ottawa, Both Bob's Taxi and Taxi Loyal are recommended by the venue.

Can I bring a guest?

We’ve thoughtfully planned our guest list to keep the celebration intimate and meaningful. If you’d like to bring a plus-one, we kindly ask that you contact us ahead of time so we can see if we’re able to accommodate. Thank you so much for understanding!

Are children or babies welcome?

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make this an adult-only celebration. We hope you’ll take the opportunity to enjoy a fun night out with us!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony is planned to take place outdoors, weather permitting. If it rains heavily, we’ll move the ceremony inside so everyone stays comfortable.

I want to give you a wedding gift. Is there a registry?

Thank you so much for your kindness and thoughtfulness! We don’t have a traditional registry. Instead, we are gratefully accepting cash gifts to help us with our future projects and our honeymoon fund. Your contribution means so much to us, as it allows you to play an active part in the next chapter of our lives together as a newly wedded couple.

Can I take photos during the ceremony and reception?

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so our professional photographer can capture everything beautifully and everyone can be fully present with us. During the reception, you’re welcome to take photos, but please avoid posting any images of us or sharing too many details about the date and venue publicly without our approval. We’ve hired professionals for a reason, and we’d love for their work to tell the story of our day. Thank you so much for understanding and helping us keep this celebration special and a little more private.
